I am a certified nutritionist with a passion for functional, holistic, and intuitive nutrition. My mission is to guide you on a transformative journey towards optimal wellness. I offer a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and dedication to help you achieve your health and lifestyle goals.

I will not make grandiose promises of one-hit-wonder diets, or suggest that there is a quick fix to any long-term lifestyle shift.     Before we dive in, let’s take a moment to get to know each other! This is the time to figure out the Who, What, When, Where & Why. During this complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call you can tell me about your Why, and I will fill in the Who, What, When & Where. This is our opportunity to determine if I am the best fit for you and your unique nutritional needs.

    Initial Consult

    $197 | 90 Minutes

    During your initial session, I will do a thorough assessment to get to know you even better. I will work to understand your personal needs, assess short & long-term goals, and answer your questions. We will explore your relationship with food, body, and what you desire to get out of our time together. Together, we will use mindfulness-based strategies and compassionate-based skill development, to make a plan that fits your unique journey.

    In follow-up sessions, we will explore your eating patterns and behaviors and I will provide you with tools to navigate new challenges that often arise when improving your relationship with food. I will honor your journey with compassion, celebrate your accomplishments, emphasize your strengths, and help you adjust your goals as needed along the way.

Welcome to Relishing Wellness! I am a certified nutritionist, peer counselor, yoga instructor, and Reiki practitioner with over a decade of experience coaching people through their nutrition and wellness journeys. I practice scientifically rooted, functional, holistic, and intuitive nutrition. I am also a human being and experience the human condition, just like you. This truth allows me to bring honesty, compassion, humor, and creativity to your plate.

After a series of stints at community colleges, different art degrees, and beauty school, I eventually found myself pursuing an education in nutrition at Bastyr University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and developed an understanding of the importance of Whole Foods Nutrition. I continued my education with a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine, where I further developed my knowledge of science backed nutrition and honed my expertise. Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral program in Clinical Nutrition at Notre Dame of Maryland University, where I hope to reach new and unknown destinies.

Just after the pandemic lockdown, I spent three transformative months in Greece, deeply immersed in studying the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle which allowed me to get an eye opening view of how illness is treated and healing takes place in other parts of the world. Additionally, I spent a week on a self-sustained family farm in Eastern Washington, learning firsthand about farm-to-table practices and sustainability. This opportunity and privilege vastly influenced my approach to balanced nutrition and solidified my belief in the importance of knowing where our food comes from, protecting our environment and food systems, and creating sustainability on a macro and micro level.

  • When I deliver your structured meal plan, I am doing the groundwork and setting you up for success. This option is perfect for you if at the end of the day or week, you just can’t imagine having to make decisions for days to come about what you or your family are going to be eating! Maybe you have hit a creative wall and need a little reminder of how to put ingredients together in the form of something that resembles an appetizing and nourishing meal. Maybe you have been eating what seems like the same 5 things over and over again in different arrangements. Maybe you are done eating out and getting delivery and want a little bit of informal education on what it looks like to feed yourself at home?

    With a Structured Meal Plan, I will provide you with exactly that, a structure, a baseline to work from. This gives you the autonomy to follow the plan to precision, or play around and develop some new skills or a fresh palette. This plan that accounts for any food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances that you have but allows you to swap foods or meals out easily. You want the direction, but you don’t want me to dictate. This option is meant to make your life easier by taking the extra burden of planning ahead of time off of your shoulders.

    You will receive my tips and tricks, and we will discuss how everything worked out for you at your next visit. You can even take advantage of my personal shopping add on to have the groceries delivered directly to your door!

  • A custom meal plan offers all of the support as the structured meal plan and then some!

    First of all, you will have access to me for quick questions and check-ins throughout the week.

    Second, it means that I cater to you by getting down and dirty with your meal plan! Every single ingredient is chosen based on your current needs, desires, and curiosities. I consider your body, your preferences, how much of something is enough and how each dish compliments the rest of the plate.

    Within the context of a full day, I evaluate if you are you meeting your nutrient goals, how a food can be prepared in order to achieve optimal bioavailability of its nutrients, and if there is a way that I can make it more nutrient dense, I will.

    Is there a food that you love but it doesn’t love you? I am going to make it my mission to find a delicious alternative.

    Do you have a dinner guest coming or maybe some family in town? Just let me know when, how many, and what they like!

    Are there foods out there that are all the rave but you’ve never tried them and want to give it a whirl? Say no more. I will personally be your guinea pig and test the recipes before I send them your way!

  • You can find the most up to date pricing here. These prices reflect the amount of one on one, in person time that I will devote to and spend with you. Please inquire for pricing of individually designed packages and additional services offered to fit your needs.

    Relishing Wellness is not in-network with any insurance providers. But, if you have out of network coverage, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company by submitting your bill from the session. Below is a list of helpful questions to ask your insurance company. 

    Checking Out-Of-Network Insurance Benefits

    • Call the member services number on the back of your card and ask: Does my plan cover out-of-network outpatient nutrition counseling? If yes, how many sessions are allowed?

    • Does my plan only cover visits that are “medically necessary”, or does it also cover preventive services?

    • Do I have a deductible to meet first? If yes, how much is my deductible? How much of the deductible have I met?

    • Do I need a physician referral?

    • Record the representative’s name and a reference # when checking your benefits. This information will be necessary if you ever need to dispute a rejected claim.

  • I am educated and trained to help you achieve food freedom in a calm, diet-free, and structured way. A certified nutrition professional can provide tools and offer support without expectations or judgment. I can help you uncover what is beneath your food challenges and develop skills to build a strong foundation of selfsustained longterm healthy lifestyle habits. Having other people in your life to support you is valuable. But processing learned fears, identifying suboptimal habits, deep beliefs, and vulnerable experiences may not feel safe with others. My job is to help support you no matter where you are on your food and body journey.

  • Licensed nutritionists and registered dietitians are both hard titles to earn. In most states, practicing under either title means pursuing education, fulfilling fieldwork and internship requirements, and earning a state-issued license.

    These days, many nutritionists and dieticians practice the same types of therapies and are separated primarily by technicalities. Certified Nutritionists tend to focus on holistic nutrition practices. Many work alongside Doctors and are certified to practice Medical Nutrition Therapy, ordering labs and providing care for specific diagnoses. They help clients change behaviors, understand broad dietary recommendations, and generally become healthier people. Unlike a dietitian’s duties, a nutritionist’s duties aren’t always medically necessary.

  • Your journey is your own unique path toward healing. Because “one-size-fits-all” approaches to nutrition don’t work, this is not something that we can predict ahead of time. Our time together depends on many factors and most importantly, your short-term and long-term goals.

    Individual nutrition counseling typically lasts for 6 months with potential to last for as long as you need to feel fully supported. The context of the sessions evolves and develops as you do. There is no way to predict how long my services will be relevant to you. As your life transforms, so do your needs. This work is personal, can be self-paced, and is relationship-based.

    This work is not prescriptive and is something that evolves over time. You and I will discuss the frequency and timing of our sessions. We will work to best fit your needs. Generally, regular and consistent sessions are most helpful and my packages are designed with a weekly meeting in mind. With consistent sessions, you can continue to check progress based on goals.
